Since the early 1970's, I have used Nikon equipment almost exclusively. In 2005, I retired almost all of my film and darkroom equipment and converted to digital SLR's. While I still have film equipment for nostalgic personal use, I rely on digital equipment for my professional photography.
As digital photographic technology advances by leaps and bounds from year to year, I make every effort to update my equipment to ensure that I can use the best possible equipment to create the best possible images. Mostly this involves replacing camera bodies as technology dictates that upgrades be made. Currently I use the latest digital SLR camera bodies manufactured by Nikon.
In the way of lenses, I have a full compliment of Nikon prime, zoom and macro lenses that allows me to photograph any type of event. From a 400mm f2.8 to an 8mm fisheye, I have every focal length necessary to capture the game winning score as well as the pageantry of an assignment. Since virtually all of my lenses are f2.8 or faster, I am able to effectively shoot indoors or outdoors in daylight or under the lights.
Post processing and uploading of images is accomplished through my desktop and laptop computers, on which I use Lightroom II, Photoshop CS4, Noise Ninja, Genuine Fractals and other such software to create my final images.
